School Uniform
It is mandatory for pupils at Martongate Primary School to wear school uniform, and they must be suitably dressed for school. The Governing Body has approved the following school uniform and hopes that all parents and carers will support the school by agreeing to send their children in uniform.
Uniform
- Burgundy sweatshirt or cardigan
- White or burgundy polo shirt
- Black or grey trousers or shorts
- Black leggings (No branded sportswear)
- Summer dress’ (pink/red and white checks)
- Grey or black skirt/pinafore dress (may be worn with grey or black tights)
- Plain black hardwearing shoes or plain black trainers
PE
- White t-shirt or a ‘team colours’ t-shirt
- Black shorts / maroon are allowed also
- Plain (non-branded) black tracksuit bottoms for outdoor sessions.
- Maroon sweatshirt or hoody for outdoor sessions
- Trainers for outdoor activities
All items of clothing should be clearly labelled with your child’s name.
Martongate Primary School values a practical and inclusive uniform policy. While school-branded items are available through local suppliers, we aim to prioritise comfort and affordability. Plain, unbranded clothing items that meet our dress code are always acceptable to help the school build a positive and inclusive environment.
We also have some good quality second hand uniform in school which is available free to parents. Please contact Mrs Smithson in the first instance.
